Deploying Language Packs

How to deploy one of the five language packs included with DNN Platform using the Advanced Configuration Settings page.

Tip: Language packs can also be deployed via the HostThese users have full access to manage the settings and content of all sites with this DNN installation, including the Host site. SuperUser accounts are created using the Host > SuperUser Accounts module. > Extensions page (See "Deploying or Downloading Available Extensions") or the AdminRegistered users who are members of the Administrators role. These users have full access to manage the site including adding, deleting and editing all pages and modules. Administrators also have access to the Admin pages located on the main menu. LanguagesMultiple languages (cultures) can be enabled on DNN. This can be enabled for the DNN framework (e.g. the field names on the Edit pages) and for the site content by creating content in each language using content localization. page, See "Installing Available Languages".

  1. Navigate to AdminRegistered users who are members of the Administrators role. These users have full access to manage the site including adding, deleting and editing all pages and modules. Administrators also have access to the Admin pages located on the main menu. > Advanced Settings > Advanced Configuration Settings.
  2. Select the Language Packs tab.
  3. Click the Deploy button beside the language to be installed.

  1. Complete Step 3 onwards of the Installation Wizard. See "Using the Install Extension Wizard". Once the language is deployed the flag of the country associated with language will be displayed in the top right corner of the site.
